The crowd was cheering her name as the white car she rode in drove away from the concert she had just performed. Letting out a soft breath of air, the girl known as Minako leaned back into the cushined seat. Her chocolate colored gaze shifted over toward the white feline padding his paws closer toward her and onto her lap. Her guardian cat Artemis, he had reminded her of the past life she had once endured; gave her this double life that she now lived. "Minako..." Worry was etching in his words, making the love senshi offer a gentle smile in return. "Daijoubu...." She replied, turning her head off to the side as she watched the buildings and trees pass by the window. With her vision blurring due to her illness she collapsed to the side of the seat, eyes falling to a close as she passed out on the car ride home. Artemis let out a soft breath, looking down at Minako and her weakened state, she always pushed herself; too hard at times. Curling up at her side he closed his eyes, merely being there for her, it's the best that he could do.
Upon awaking she was lucky enough to do so while the car door was opened by her driver. If he had realized what happened, she'd be in the hospital again, truly she was tired of going only to be given the same results over and over again. "Minako-san, we've arrived." Blinking her eyes to regain her previous vision she gave a nod of the head, climbing out of the car and stepping out onto the pavement below, one arm holding Artemis in her arm (who laid stiff liked a stuffed animal, to hide his identity) and her bag in the other. Heading up toward the twin, clear double doors of the apartment complex she stepped inside and reached into her bag for her keys, tangling them in her two digits as she climbed up the stairs to her room (which was one room beside her manager's). Her manager, Sugao Saitou, is like a father to her considering she does not have any parents. Not anymore at least, they were always so busy working that they decided to never pay any mind or attention to her. And thus when she decided upon her career of singing, her manager became a father to her, especially when her parents died.
Arriving into her room she'd flick on the light switch, watching as the bright white colored walls lit up instantly with a yellow tint; tossing her bag onto the desk beside her bed and collapsing down upon the mattress instantly. Artemis managed to hop out of her arm and land upon the blanket beside her head, curling up into a small ball as she gazed at her frame. "Minako... maybe you should take a break. If you keep up like this, you won't..." His sentence trailed off, trying to avoid actually speaking the truth out loud, but Minako knew what he was going on about. Pushing herself too much, could possibly bring, the amount of days she has left, ever closer. Lifting her head up from her fluffed pillow she gazed out the window and toward the moon that shun brightly through the peach curtains upon her windowsill. It was always so difficult, living up to her own goals of keeping the past from repeating. She always tried to distance herself from making friends, she did not want them to be sad that she was going, that way, nothing could get in her way of a sacrifice of her live, for the good of her Princess and Planet.
"I can't stop now Artemis, I have a mission to accomplish." Artemis now lifted himself, jumping onto the bedside table; his gaze seemed rather persistent. "Then why? Why don't you just get the operation? If you live... all this won't be in vein. I know the past life is important but... Minako is even more important!" Blinking her eyes over toward him she noticed those golden orbs wavering with liquid tears, causing her to look away instantly. "It's a very low chance that the operation will work, Artemis. I'd rather not waste my life away when I can be stopping the calamity from repeating itself." The tiny white ears lowered on top of the feline's head, making her sigh and reach over to turn off the light, coiling herself within her comforter. "Goodnight Minako..." Lifting her arm after he spoke, the small figure cuddled up into her body with a low purr. "Goodnight... Artemis." Her eyes fluttered down to a close now allowing her drained body to finally slip into slumber; her hand clutching gently upon her blanket that was pulled up and around her body.
Night passed by and morning arose, and the idol had instantly gotten up, tugging her laptop over onto her lap and switching it on. It was time to write in her blog for her fans, keeping them updated was important, especially when they looked up to you. One knock was heard upon her door and instantly it opened before she even got to speak a word, "Minakooooo~! Minako, I've got the papers for your next talk-show set up!" A light-hearted smile came to her face now, watching as her manager flailed about the room with the paper; the producer of her albums coming in after to try and catch up with his energetic movements. A soft laugh erupted from past her lips, leaning over her laptop as she watched the amusing display before her.
The talking however was halted, hearing Artemis' voice speaking to her telepathically, "Minako, there's trouble in the city." A small frown spread over her face as she looked toward the two men in her room, now pushing herself up from bed with a nod toward her cat, who was hanging outside on the windowsill. Reaching down and grabbing onto her sneakers she slipped them onto her feet and tucked her cap upon the top of her head, dark colored strands drifting down to cover her facial features from view. The two were still wondering about the room, raving about what all was in store for her, that she managed to slip out with ease.
With her white jacket in hand she tucked it over her shoulders and onto her body, hugging it about herself as she sprinted down the hallway and steps that were to lead outside. Launching himself down from the railing just outside the door, Artemis darted off toward the location with her. With nobody around her body started to flash to a golden orange shade, only to shift into another uniform, her hair shifting to a golden blonde, red mask decorating over her eyes with her white, blue and red 'senshi' uniform upon her body. Blue heels hit upon the concrete city streets below, her pace increasing with each sprint.
"A small girl has been kidnapped, I heard her parents telling the police. It's a gang of men Minako, we'd better hurry!"
After hearing this and what direction they were headed no time was wasted. Launching herself up onto a roof top she'd jump and leap across them, making their way into the lower part of town; the slums. Leaning over the corner of a house she gazed downward to scan the area. A car alarm was going off, a group of teenagers huddled into the nearby alleyway, talking amongst themselves. Her cerulean eyes fluttered over to the side, noticing a few guys dragging a small child up the stairwell, who was squealing and struggling to break free. With a frown forming on her lips she launched herself down to the pavement, running over toward the door, while managing to avoid anyone catching her attention by slipping into the shadows.
Her white gloved hand pushed against the door, stepping inside and quickly closing it behind her, she noticed how high up they were within the moldy and old building. A small cry was heard from above, which made her gasp and dart up the stairs, panting along the way as she clutched onto the railing beside her, as to not overwhelm herself with the speed and turns she was doing. "Hey, you! What are you doing here!?" Stopping in her tracks her eyes lifted up a few more flights of stairs; a tall man dressed in a black hoodie and baggy jeans stood, pointing a gun straight into her direction. Lifting up on of her hands, a crescent moon object appeared within the point of her thumb and index finger, thrusting it straight toward him. This obviously caused him to pull the trigger just as she attempted to dodge the bullet, quite literally; only to cry out as it scraped along her left shoulder.
The man's gun dropped from his hand from the impact of her toss, causing it to tumble down a few stairs. He grunted and ran off as she gripped onto her arm, winching inwardly from the stinging and hot sensation that boiled within her body. "Minako!" Artemis cried, running over toward the injured female. Letting out a few gasping breaths she looked over toward Artemis, "stay back, I don't want you to get hurt!" She hissed inwardly and started back up the stairs again, finding her crescent moon boomerang and tugging it back into the fabrics of her skirt. A scream was heard from the small child and she pushed herself further until she made it to the very top floor. There a group of men stood, the girl must have been behind the door they were in front of, guarded by so many kidnappers. They better not have done anything to harm her.
Her distant expression never changed as she ran toward them, all five of them holding their guns out toward her and now opening fire. Her body tucked inwardly, palms pressing to the floor as she flipped herself in cartwheels across the tiles and closer to their location. Landing upon her feet again, her elbow came down, smashing one of their shoulder blades, making him and his gun hit the ground; her leg then lifting to smash into his abdomen to bring him upon her back. Twisting into a half circle she gave another wheel upon the ground, her leg coming down into a smack to his face with her heeled shoe. Both men were crying out and holding onto their injured places, but three still remained. Shots were fired once more, causing her to gasp and attempt to dodge it properly this time.
A cry was released from her throat as her leg was now grazed with another bullet, causing her to hit the floor with a soft grunt, looking up toward them with discomfort. The other two men stood to their feet, all chuckling and inching closer toward her, only for a crash to come from the window next to them, making them take a small step back. Artemis came leaping through and landed beside Minako, an orange stick resting in his mouth and dropping it right next to her. "Venus Power, Make-Up." He told her, causing her to pick up the stick and then nod toward her, standing up and holding the power-stick above her head. "Venus Power! Make-Up!" With that, a flash came from around her, that outfit changing to that of an orange outfit, a tiara pressed on top of her head and a heart chain wrapped about her waist. All blue items upon her outfit has been changed to orange, while her red bow was now a navy blue; that white fuku clinging tightly to her body rather than her Sailor V uniform which only consisted of a sailor shirt and skirt.
"Sailor Venus is born." Artemis spoke, as Minako stood in a pose momentarily, a hand lifting as her finger wagged back and forth toward them. "Time to get serious, ne~." Running back over toward them she gave a few thrusts of her fists, causing them to react to void her, but it was obviously not what she had planned. Twirling back to face them, after having passed them up, she gripped onto the chain about her waist and gave a thrust forward, allowing it to smack and fling at them. "Venus Love me Chain!" All five guns came collapsing to the floor, and Artemis let out a meow, jumping forth to knock them all just under the heels of Minako's orange dress shoes. The chain had reappeared about her waist, a rope taking hold around the men and holding them together upon the floor where they lay collapsed upon one another.
Leaning forward her ear pressed up against the door, but all was quiet, so she knew better than to run in where she could be outnumbered or without the first reaction. Heading over toward the window where Artemis had first come from she'd climb out, holding herself onto the edge of the building and scooting over toward the corner that rounded toward the room she was trying to enter inside of. The car siren seemed to even be loud from up above, but thankfully she knew better than to look down. Peering inside she noticed the girl sitting upon the bed, whimpering as a man held a firm grip into her hair, a gun held fast up against the side of her head. A look of disgust appeared over her face, inching herself inside from behind very quietly. Her finger extended, making sure to angle correctly for the gun and now shouted, as quickly as she could, "Crescent Beam!" A beam of light shot forth and at the gun, causing it to fly directly out of his hand. Quickly turning, and taking the girl with him by the hair she fell to the floor with a cry, his hand trying to reach for his fallen weapon.
Jumping forward her heel aimed and smashed directly into his face, causing his hand to release its grip from the girl and send him to the floor. "S-Sailor V!?" The girl looked up toward the blonde with tears in her eyes, hand holding tight to her chest with hope that she had just been saved by her favorite heroine. Stepping in front of her with arms parted open in a defensive stance she watched the man climbing back up, rubbing at his chin free from the injury she had created. A knife was reahed and grabbed by the man, rushing over and swinging the dagger rather carelessly around in order to hit her. Unable to void many strikes, considering she had to protect the child behind her she took a few cuts to her upper body, her arm lifting to smash her elbow into his nose and waiting until he stumbled forward to hit that same elbow with his spine; knee coming up and colliding with his stomach. The wind was soon knocked out of him as she collapsed to the ground with a thud and grunt. Nodding her head Minako parted her arms open, wrapping one about the girl and lifting her to stand, her free hand now wrapping rope about his hands and ankles just like his friends. Kicking the door down she now knelt in front of the child, allowing her to jump onto her back, arms and legs latching onto her instantly for support. Gripping onto her tiny legs she ran off down the stairs and out of the building.
As they continued on out of the slums there was a silence between the two of them, and yet it was a calm and reasonable one. A small child's super hero has just come to save her life and bring her home, just like like in the video games that she was in. The silence was slowly broken as soft singing was heard from the girl upon her back, "Watashi ga, watashi de iru kagiri... C'est la vie, anata wo aishitsuzuketai..." Minako's eyes softened as she glanced back toward her, Artemis walking beside him as he watched silently, as though he were telling the senshi that she meant more to her fans that just someone to listen to or watch. "Me no mae ni aru kono, shunkan ga ikiru basho... kakenukete." The girl was singing one of her songs, one that she had heard Usagi say made her feel better when times were bad; could it be the same for some other people as well? As she continued to sing, Minako joined her quietly, making the girl smile and lean to hover against her shoulder and watch the blonde swaying as they walked together. The child was giggling, enjoying the sways as her arms hugged tighter about her shoulders. "Thank you for saving me, Sērā Bui." Hearing that small Japanese accent rolling off of her tongue it had Minako chuckle, turning her head at an angle to catch a glimpse of her face. "That's my job, I'll always be there when you need me." This made the girl gasp happily, leaning closer so tha their cheeks pressed up against one another. "Promise!?" A gentle smile spread over her lips, giving a small nod of the head, "Promise."
Police sirens were heard in the distance as they finally exited the slums of the city, the lush and tall buildings of riches now pouring into their vision. Soft puffs of air was heard and felt against her ear, it seemed as though the entire experience had completely warn the girl out. However she found herself wincing now, blood oozing out past the wounds that rested upon her ankle and shoulder; the red liquid had trailed behind them most of the way there. Pushing the pain and need to collapse to the side she continued to push forward, wanting to finally get this girl home, into the loving arms of her parents. Her heels pressed up against the few steps that led to the door, removing the girl from her back and gently laying her in her arms, even if the pain was increasing from the change in positions. Bringing her hand forward her knuckles tapped against the wooden surface of the door, letting out a soft breath as she waited for some sort of answer. Nothing. Blinking her eyes she reached for the knob and turned it, noticing it was unlocked and pushed the door open, noticing the mother and father fallen asleep, collapsed into one another on the sofa; a photo of their dear child resting between them and in their hands.
Stepping inside she removed the photograph, setting it down upon the table next to the couch and replacing it with the girl herself, letting the three of them sleep soundly together. What a surprise it'll be when they awaken to see their child alright. Normally, a person would want a reward, but Minako did not. What was rewarding enough was that the girl was alive and alright and that she'd be safe back at home with the men responsible soon brought to justic for their wrong doings. Making her way for the door she heard a soft noise coming from the girl, now glancing over her shoulder to watch her peeking her eyes open toward her. A few blonde strands flew over her shoulder, swaying back and forth due to the light breeze that came in from the still open door that she stood in front of. "Thank you, Minako-chan..." She whispered and drifted back off to sleep, making her eyes widen as she had figured out just who she was. Perhaps it was when she sang along? Children were truly smarter than adults gave them credit for, she'd give 'em that much. Smiling she stepped outside, the door clicking behind her while looking over toward her companion Artemis. "Minako..." The senshi nodded her head and walked off once more, to return back to her apartment complex. But first, she needed to take care of her wounds, she already had enough to explain to her manager about as it were, with her random disappearance.
Closing her eyes, a bright light glowed around her, changing back into her civialian apperance of Aino Minako, her dark brown strands falling over her shoulders and resting upon her chest neatly. Now nearing the bridge that crossed from one portion of the city to the other she stopped momentarily, letting out a few puffs of air, her vision was now beginning to blur from the exhaustion and overworking herself. Gripping onto the railing she leaned over it a tad, closing her eyes in a squint while slowly sliding down toward the boarded bridge below. Artemis ran over, calling out her name, but she could barely even hear him anymore, she was fading out. Now losing consciousness she laid up against the railing, her cat sitting upon her lap as she tried to keep her warm by cuddling her, letting out a few soft meows in the process. I made the decision that keeping the past life from repeating was most important... more so than my life. Just give me a few more months, just a few more... Living a double life wasn't as exciting like most celeberties think about wanting, if anything it is more tiring and makes you want to give up a lot of the time. Thankfully she had the stamina to keep pushing herself forward, no matter what the cost was, so long as it did not cause one of the greatest catastrophes Earth would ever come to realize.
Thankfully at that time her manager had come by, lifting her up in her arms while Artemis lay in a stuffed animal state in Minako's grip. With her lips parted open, her head laid fallen over and against his chest; the man gazing down toward him with a soft sigh, looking at the wounds upon her body only caused him to worry, especially with all the secrets she held. "Minako... what am I going to do with you?" He spoke quietly, only to look up as police sirens zipped by, a couple came outside with their child lifted in their arms, spinning around and all chattering with happiness. The police man tipped his hat and glanced back toward the cars, where the kidnappers laid arrested in a bunch. They hadn't the faintest idea who saved them until the child cried out "Sailor V saved me!", and her manager looked down toward Minako, a soft smile coming across his face. "I knew there was a reason you always ran off suddenly and came back exhausted... Minako, why do you push yourself so hard?" Turning, he started to carry the passed out heroine back to her apartment, only to hear that small girl calling out toward them.
"W-wait!" Stopping he looked down toward her, offering a wide smile, "may I help you?" The girl just smiled and held out her hands for him, freeing one hand to take hold of the 'reward' for helping out. "This is for Minako-chan, for helping me." Giggling she spun around and ran back toward her parents who lifted her back up into their embrace, taking her inside soon after. He stuffed the bounty into her jacket pocket, gripping tightly back onto her once more before carrying her back home for a good rest. Soon upon arriving her body was pressed down onto the matress below, Sugao left quietly, knowing that he'd deal with her tomorrow, but thankfully her wounds had been wrapped thanks to him, he really was like a father to her; always there for her. Her eyes eventually opened, turning her gaze out towards the window beside her, fingers curling inward to the palm of her head that lay beside her face. "Artemis... maybe you're right." She spoke quietly, her eyebrows somewhat knitted together in thought; how was she to continue protecting innocent people like that little girl if she died? What if she had already died and was not there to save her? Would she still be alive? "I'll do it, I'll... get the operation." It was not a smart thing to do, there was an off-chance that the operation did worse than help; which is killing her instantly, faster than she'd normally live up until. Was it really a risk to take? Closing her eyes she fell asleep, these thoughts following her for the day tomorrow to think more upon.
Upon awaking she was lucky enough to do so while the car door was opened by her driver. If he had realized what happened, she'd be in the hospital again, truly she was tired of going only to be given the same results over and over again. "Minako-san, we've arrived." Lifting her arm after he spoke, the small figure cuddled up into her body with a low purr. "Goodnight... Artemis." Her eyes fluttered down to a close now allowing her drained body to finally slip into slumber; her hand clutching gently upon her blanket that was pulled up and around her body.
