Somewhere In Outer Space..
A series of noisy crashing sounds accompanied by the rumbling of the small spaceship woke the Saiyan from his deep slumber. The vessel began rocking back and forth as it shivered through the calm void of space. It had been days since Son Goku embarked on his interplanetary journey, yet this incident had been the first of it's kind since he left.
The Saiyan had been sent from planet Earth into space in search of his first born son. It had been quite some time since any of them had even seen Gohan and he and his friends on Earth were beginning to worry. The halfbreed could have been killed or stranded. ChiChi had nearly gone mad over the absence of their son and Goku couldn't say he blamed her. Who just runs off and leaves their family for long periods of time without so much as an explanation? Surely, Goku never did such a thing. That was certainly not a trait that Gohan had inherited from his father. None of these scenarios seemed to sit well with the man. He had no idea where he was going at all. All he knew was that he would search the universe until he could pick up at least a faint hint of his son's energy. It wouldn't be too hard. After all, the young hybrid had become incredibly powerful over the years and Goku's ability to sense an energy trail was nearly unrivaled.
The event that took place now, though, had been rather unexpected. Goku had woken up on bad days, but nothing could replace the feeling of opening one's eyes to find that your space ship was in the middle of crashing. Goku sat up and took a quick look around only to find that the gravity levels had gone haywire during his time in bed and that his body was now lying on the ceiling. Goku looked up at the floor above him.
"Oh, wow!" He exclaimed, actually enjoying the frightening experience. Things took a turn for the worse, though, as the vessel began shaking ever so violently as it seemed to be picking up speed.
"Hmm..." Goku hummed curiously. "What in the world is going on, ya reckon?" He asked himself, seeing as how no one else was aboard the ship, anyhow. Goku kicked off from the ceiling and floated down toward the nearest window. Peeking out of the round hole in the wall, it was clear that he was headed for some kind of object.
"Looks like maybe it's some kind of small moon." He whispered.
"That's no moon." He said, correcting himself as the ship closed in at high speed.
"It's a space station..." He continued, nearly arguing with himself. It had been a long time, after all. He'd almost gotten used to carrying on full length conversations with himself.
"No, it's too big to be a space station." He concluded. Whatever it was, the rock seemed to be drawing his ship toward it like some kind of tractor beam. Though, it was probably only the planet's gravitational pull. Though, Son Goku was simply not the smartest man in the galaxy.
"Hmm..Well, this is odd." He muttered. "I guess I better get dressed..." The Saiyan whispered, pulling on his cleanest dirty shirt. After all, it had been months since he'd been home and, though the ship had a laundry area with all the equipment to wash his clothes, he didn't know how to use them. As the Saiyan finished tying up his belt, the ship was now soaring through the strange planet's atmosphere and on fire, judging by the flames that were visible just outside the window.
"Looks like this one's gonna be a rough landing!" Goku declared with a chuckle. Upon coming to the conclusion, the man grabbed onto the console on which the control panel was located. The landing would be rough, indeed, but he was confident that the ship could handle it. With a crash, the vessel collided with the face of the red planet. Being sucked into the atmosphere, Goku hadn't had nearly enough time to even begin to activate the ship's landing gear. Even if he had, they would not have served much of a purpose at the speed of which the ship had been traveling.
The Saiyan, with no more than a scratch or two, kicked down the loading ramp of the very recently wrecked space ship and poked his head out of the doorway.
"Uh..." Goku stammered, breathing in fresh oxygen for the first time in months. "Hello?"
This area of the planet seemed to be bustling with citizens, yet, none of them seemed to notice the crash landing, much less care at all. Where was he? The funny part was that all of these people seemed to be living like your average inhabitant, yet their power levels weren't too shabby. The people seemed familiar as well. As if he had known them all of his life. It was certainly an odd situation for the Saiyan, but he chose not to dwell of it for long as he needed to find out where he was and how to repair his ship. He would need his means of travel to be in working order before he could continue his search for Gohan.
Goku stepped out of the twisted ship and hopped out of the crater that it had created.
"So...uhh...hmmm..." Confused, the Saiyan decided to take a walk down to road to see what he could find.
