The cold wind started to howl and brush against the certain; the air smelled of death and despair. Standing at the top of the stairs, a small pink haired girl stood, her emerald orbs wide as she watched bodies collapse to the ground. Blood oozed out and seeped into the carpet as the girl held her hands tight against her own chest. Her tiny frame shook in place, only to feel arms wrapping about her frame, causing her to gasp as she was dragged back into the bedroom, letting out a long whaling cry of agony. Her fiancee was just murdered before her eyes, all because of this war that went on between the different races. Loud sobs escaped from her mouth, but a hand pressed to her lips, her head tilting back to look toward her pink haired mother. Letting out a soft whimper as she watched the woman's crimson gaze softening at her she managed to calm down momentarily.
"Kasumi... you need to get out of here. Take this and get yourself to the 20th Century, warn all that you can and stay in hiding."
Looking up toward her mother she felt the tears trickling even more so down her cheeks, "b-but momma..." The woman simply smiled, stroking a hand against the young one's cheek before slipping back out the door. An explosion was next to come, causing for the pinkette to let out a scream, The small key that was clutched in her hands began to glow a bright white, causing her to disappear from that planet and timeline. All that was going through her mind as that point was if her mother was alive, if her father was and curious to know the state of her planet. She had just lost the love of her life and home planet, what was going to happen next?
Upon awaking, her emerald colored hues peered open, blinking them slowly at first as she noticed the area around her. Where was she? Possibly on the planet that was there before her own, but which could it be? Letting out a soft noise as she pushed herself up to stand she brushed the grass stains off from her knees, letting out a small cry as she hugged her arms about her own stomach. The amount of despair that she felt was beginning to make her feel rather nauseated, it was almost too much to bare. Crawling her way up a grassy hill she found herself before a palace, causing her eyes to shake in place from the view, her pure white dress had become dirty with blood and dirt at this point; she must not have looked like the Princess she actually was in the future time period. Her fingers tugged into the green blades below, falling forward and over herself as she attempted to regain herself and inch her way further along and toward this earlier noticed palace. Wherever and whenever she was, she had to continue with the ideal of what her mother had in mind; hopefully she could find a place to hide out while here.
Pushing herself inside the large double doors, the fallen princess made her way down the long corridor, looking at all the priceless vases and decorations that were lined up along the walls. Chattering was heard coming down the hall, causing her to let out a soft gasp and duck behind a cabinet, closing the drawers but only enough not to be seen. Watching as a few men passed by, one in particular caught her eye, a long blue and red colored cape flinging by as the men all spoke so highly; was he the King of this place? She hugged her arms around herself, shaking in place as she tried to keep herself quiet until they had left. But this was not to be, becoming extremely exhausted after all she had gone though, the pinkette let her eyes flutter down to a close and she drifted to sleep right there, breathing softly as she fell to the side.
It seemed however that the King that ruled this place had already sensed her there, and turned to look at the desk once his subjects had left. He furrowed his brows in a rather gruff manner and pulled the two sliding doors open, revealing the sleeping figure inside. That pink hair, he could have sworn that it was someone else, but he could already tell that it wasn't. Kneeling down he closed his eyes in a slightly irritated manner that someone had decided to break in and sleep like some bum off of the streets, in his place no less! He let out a soft grunt and peered his dark eyes toward her once more, "Wake up." His low and commanding voice made her eyes flutter open, emerald hues looking up toward him as she gasped and inched backward. "I-I'm sorry... I didn't mean to fall asleep..! I just wanted to ask for a place to stay and people coming kinda scared m--" Her sentence was interuppted as he stood and folded his arms against his chest. "Get out." Letting out a soft whimper as she heard his words she simply nodded her head and pulled herself out, "I'm sorry.." Rubbing at her bare arms she made her way right back out the large double doors, tripping along her long gown along the way. The doors slammed shut behind her and she winced, jumping a bit as she puffed out her cheeks, "what a grumpy man..." Making her way a little ways from that building she slid down into the grass and laid herself there to sleep for the night. As she lay trying to sleep she heard a few men off in the distance all grunting, training themselves just outside and away from Vegeta's ears, so he wouldn't get too annoyed from them being so loud. Yet, it was too loud for her to really sleep well. Gazing up toward the starry skies she let out a deep breath, arms hugging behind her own head as she watched a shooting star pass her by, causing her to sit up with a gasp. "I wish, I wish oh shooting star..." Closing her eyes her mind started to wander, thinking about her family and loved ones; how she'd maybe be able to save them sometime soon.
A gentle smile came to her lips after she had finished making her wish, her hands unclasping and falling down into the blades and grass beneath of her. Finally, even though there was loud noises in the distance, she felt she'd be able to sleep after what all she had gone through just a few moments before arriving here. That King wouldn't listen to her, not yet, but she wasn't going to give up on making it work! She needed somebody to help her, surely someone was going to listen and not think of her as some beggar or crazy lunitic who'd speak of the future. Collapsing down upon her back she exhaled a sigh and closed her eyes, feelingi the cool breeze hitting across her face, which in turn rocked her to sleep with its light craddles of movement.
The sound of birds chirping stirred the pinkette from her sleep, pushing herself up from the grass that she laid upon as her bed and blanket. Blinking her emerald hues she looked up toward the blue and cloud covered skies, a soft smile spreading over her lips, despite just how things were the previous night; being kicked out of that palace she had stumbled upon, but it was to be expected. From a very short distance away she heard two men speaking, with their armour and appeareance they seemed to be Saiyans. Listening intently as she gripped onto the small hill she laid upon she peered over toward them, her eyes continuing to blink softly as she listened in. "Wow really? I could really try some of that!" "Haha, yeah! It's apparently the best ale that Vegeta can offer!" "Too bad you two need to get back to work, huh!?" The booming voice of their commander had them stiffen and salute him accordingly, "sir yes sir!" This of course had Kasumi giggle softly and turn around upon her bottom. "Ale? Not sure what that is, but if it's the best, wow... It sure sounds tempting to try!" Jumping up from the ground she brushed the blood and dirt off from her long white dress, which surely did no good as it were. Puffing up her cheeks at the site she made she must have come across as some peasent.
Collapsing down in front of the small stream that ran by she dipped her hands into the liquid and splashed it upon her face to try and remove the dirt and burn marks upon her pale skin. Grasping onto her dress she ripped it up along her legs, just a bit past her knees as the fabric fell to the ground, shortening the long Princess attire so that it was at least easier to walk. Using that fallen fabric to scrub at her own face to dry it and further remove the spots she let out a soft breath, feeling a tad refreshed than when she started out. Pumping her small fists down in front of herself in a way of letting herself know that she was ready she started off to her destination. This Vegeta place sure was vast from what she could tell, the tavern had to be in a town and here she was in some big city! Curious if it'd be here or elsewhere she was not going to stop now! With a smile on her face she turned to look at all the people dressing along the streets, some in a special attire and others in work clothes. It seemed like Planet Earth, she had only been there once so she could have been mistaken. A few looked at her rather oddly while others offered smiles right back at her, perhaps it was just her way of making one spread across people's faces, she sometimes had that effect. Even if she was an airhead, she was a rather loveable one to say the least, but at least she was smarter than she let off and did have a serious side, but it was only rarely seen.
"Ah, a bar!"
Smiling over toward a man sitting just outside he was keeled over himself, hiccuping and singing a rather incoherient song. Running over toward him she smiled and leaned down toward him, her smile brightening,"s'cuse me sir! Is this the bar that has the SPECIAL ale?" The man slowly looked up toward her, one of his eyes drooping down as if it were half way closed and the other wide open and staring directly at her, his lips curved into a twitch to the side as if he were rather loopy. "Special ale..? Girly, there is some things in life where you know what you.. Hic! Or reach for the skies! Oh the mighty monkies!" Letting out a soft squeak Kasumi tried to jump back as he wrapped his arms around her waist and rubbed his face against her stomach in small nuzzles. "You're soft like my mommy! Hic!" WIth her hands lifted up near her own face, her fingers curled inward, squirming in an attempt to break free, "U-um, I'm sorry but please let go!" This caused his grip to tighten as he looked up toward her, his expression seened a little more fierce than before, making her let out another soft noise as though she were to expect the worse. "Kinoko! Are you bothering this girl?" The man hiccuped and looked behind him and toward the bartender who was holding a broom in his hand, having coming out from sweeping in the tavern. "Awh, I wasn't buggin' her..." The man lifted his brow toward him and handed over a glass of water in his direction, "at least sober up before speaking to another, it's like you're going to maul them on the spot!" The Saiyan man took the glass and gulped it down, releasing his grip on Kasumi.
Stumbling back a bit she held her hands against her own chest, watching him through her lids as he started to sober up; why she was waiting for this to happen was beyond her though. If anything she just wanted to find the right place to head into, so before the bartender went back inside she stepped forth, "u-um excuse me.. is this the place for that special ale stuff?" The man looked back toward her, "Nah, you got the wrong place. I mean, my ale IS special, but not the one with the rumors going around." Letting out a small sigh she collapsed down beside the man who was downing the water, and he glanced over toward her as he began to feel rather better after having gulped down his fourth glass. "I've been looking for that place myself, maybe I can help you." This had her turn to the side, gasping happily as she nodded toward him "yes please!" The Saiyan man grinned and pushed himself up to stand, only to cause her to gasp at just how tall he stood, making her lean back to see his face and then plop down into a laying position on the step, with a soft 'eep' coming from her throat. The man laughed, the deepeness coming from his strength and pull in from his chest, making her sweatdrop lightly; he was so silly before that he seemed like a different man completely.
Pulling herself up to stand she 'dusted' herself off and after he finally got a better look at her, he noticed just what she was designed with. She looked rather royal and yet poor all at once, the stence of death upon her gown, yet a smile spread over her face. Leaning down with his arm extended he sweeped her off her feet, so-to-speak and held her upon his shoulder. Giggling her legs hung down against his chest as she held her palms onto his shoulder blade armour, getting a much better view of the town than when she was so far down below. "Hehe, thanks!" He nodded toward her and began to make his way further into the city, causing her to follow without any complaints. "Hmm... how many pubs are there here in the city, Mr?" The man shook his head with a soft grunt, yet a smile still on his face, "Kinoko is my name - and about three as far as I've seen. But none have had that ale you speak of, must be a hidden or new one. But we'll find it! I know my mates will want to find out themselves to, might as well find it now for them!" He grinned, thinking about how they'd praise him for finding it before they could and even offer to buy his drinks. Of course he was taken out of his mind-set as the girl upon his shoulder squealed and squirmed around, "I'm so excited! And I am rather thirsty and hungry.. I haven't eaten in a few days." At this her stomach grumbled, making his eyes soften a bit and then harden as he tried to keep himself in character. "Ahem, well... I'm sure there will be food there for 'ya, no worries." This made her smile and nod her head, "you're right!"
The two ventured into a nearby alleyway, where a sly looking man stood, rubbing his hands together in delight from wandering costumers. "Dear sir, dear sir~." The man in purple and black clothing slid over, a wide smile coming to his face as though he were some sort of joker. "Can I interest you in some... fine ale?" The man grinned wide and nodded, "you bet, we've been looking for this place, right girl?" Kasumi nodded from above and clapped her hands together happily. The man looked up toward her and frowned at her apperance but was more glad that the man was interested. "Come inside, sir. You won't regret it!" The two strolled inside, looking toward the groups of men who were either playing pool, drinking and eating or huddled up into far corners. Kinoko sat Kasumi down into a chair and moved toward the one across from her, leaning back comfortably and rubbing at his stomach, "I am rather hungry as well..." A man came over with a tray set against the palm of his hand and a notepad and pencil in the other. "What may I get you?" The man looked toward him and lifted his brow as if it weren't obvious, "two ales and a bucket of hotwings and fries, aye?" This had Kasumi gasp and squeal in delight and he smirked toward her, heading read her mind on what she wanted so easily. "Right away. " The man finished writing it down and made his way off to the bar table.
"Well, you know my name... what's yours little lady?" This made Kasumi giggle and stick her tongue out toward him, "I'm Kasumi!" He nodded and then watched as their food and drinks were set upon the table. With a loud stomach growl, Kasumi launched herself forward, taking a few wings and devouring them into her mouth; almost not caring if she was not being lady like. However, she had yet to figure out that it was normal for a Saiyan to do this, so she wasn't exactly out of place like she had once thought. Kinoko found himself chuckling out loud and took a wing as he stood, "I'll be back, aye?' She nodded and started to sip at the ale she was given, causing her to gasp and cough a bit, she hadn't drank before so this was all so new to her. It was bitter and yet sweet, a strange combination that made her down more of it until it was practically empty. Little did she know that she was getting a few stares in her direction, but she paid them no mind until a hand came crashing down onto her shoulder in a rather tight grip. "I think this girl is lost, don't you?" Blinking up toward the men that had surrounded her she let a small smile come to her face. "Oh, I'm not lost! I'm just eating and drinking!" Surely they didn't take this as her being nice and figured it was sarcasm.
Being lifted from her seat she went flying across the room, causing her to cry out as she rammed into the pool table, feeling the corner of the edge digging into her side. "O-ow... Hey that hurt!" Gasping she turned to look behind her, where some with pool sticks in their hands inched over. "I...I don't mean to cause any trouble..." She whispered, only to squeal as a fist came flying into her direction, but rather than hitting her, it grasped onto the collar of her dress once more. Her feet and legs were swinging back and forth into the air as she gripped onto the man's hands, only to go flying back once again, this time her back smashing into the wall as she slid down against it. All was silent as her head fell forward, pink strands of hair dangling into her face, not much was said as the brute walked over and reached for her hair in order to hold onto. Suddenly her hand flew up, holding her fingers tightly about his wrist as her head lifted, emerald eyes glaring up toward him as she squeezed his hand, feeling the bones in his fingers crunching under the pressure that she made. The man gritted his teeth, trying to keep his superior place above her, but he was feeling as she stood and tightened her grip; white wings now exploding from her back, feathers flying above them as her emerald hues brightened, lifting him just above her, despite their weight differences. "Perhaps it is YOU who does not know your place, Saiyan." She spoke, her voice coming off more mature than it had previously been. The man's lip trembled as she now released her grip from him and he collapsed to the ground.
Watching him crawl away, it seemed that those there were now keeping their distance from her. The wings from her back disappeared as she walked over toward the table silently and sitting down, sipping at her drink once more. Kinoko reentered the room, a sweatdrop sliding down the back of his head as it seemed that everyone was actually further away than before and most was silent. Seating himself across from Kasumi he lifted his drink and took a big gulp, "geez, what happened in here?" Kasumi now lifted her head, giggling as a smile came back to her lips, "Who knows! Perhaps they've seen a ghost!" His eyes shifted over toward their location, they seemed frightened, scared of HER, but he couldn't figure out just why. She seemed so innocent and gentle, what was there to fear? Most there always considered themselves to be a mighty Saiyan Race and nobody could ever compare to, and yet with this small girl present it had them all but curled into small balls. Perhaps they were just drunk, that was the best way to describe it.
Kasumi took a few wings and fries, munching them into her mouth as she was now poured a second glass from the bartender. Without even asking her, which had her giggle, "thank you!" Kicking her feet back and forth she finishing off her food, causing her to lean back in the seat and continuously sip at her ale. Kinoko smiled and looked to see that their food was practically gone, "well... that was pretty good. Ready to get going soon?" Nodding her head to his question she jumped up, making the others in the room do the same in reaction. Kinoko lifted her back onto his shoulder and they made their way out, the bartender not even bothering to ask for payment, not after that display that had just been given. "Where do you live anyway, Kasumi?" He looked over toward her and lifted his brow, 'causing her to shrug her shoulders. "In nature!" He stopped in his tracks, even though they had now come into the full city once more. "You mean you... don't have a place to live?" She nodded her head and shrugged her shoulders at once, "It's okay though." Kinoko did not seem to be thinking the same thing, it was rather opposite, nevertheless he started to walk with her once more, his arm gripping a bit tighter onto her body as though he didn't want to let her go, considering how dangerous it could be. "Kasumi, if you ever need a place to stay, I want you to know that you can find me here and the offer will always be open." Smiling she'd lean against him slightly, nodding her head as she closed her eyes half way, finding herself rather tired after today.
Having arrived just outside the city Kinoko set her down, causing his brows to furrow a tad toward her. "Are you sure you don't want to come with me?" Kasumi shook her head, "thank you but... I really need to wait for my friends to arrive!" Little did he know that they were time traveling, so it'd take a lot longer than it sounded. "Alright, take care." She nodded and waved toward him before running off along that hill, squeaking as she nearly tripped a few times and caught herself, rolling along the grassy hilltop and letting out a soft sigh, looking up toward the skies as her hand outstretched. "Soon... Soon I will bring revenge to you all." With her other hand she took her mug and drank down the rest of her ale, letting out a long and content breath out as she watched a few birds fly by her face, "And maybe someday, I'll set you all free... just like these birds." A smile came to her face as she rolled over into the grass and curled up, taking in a deep breath as she let sleep overtake her from the long day she had just spent with those Saiyans she had just recently heard about. Perhaps tomorrow she'd venture into the city once more for some more of that delicious tasting ale, she could still taste it upon her lips as well as the food she had gotten to have. However, she didn't want to go there and get things for free just because they feared her, paying was always the right thing to do. Besides that, she just wanted to have a peaceful time at a place without any trouble brewing. Perhaps another time and place will come for her to be able to have all of this.
"Kasumi... you need to get out of here.
He grinned, thinking about how they'd praise him for finding it before they could and even offer to buy his drinks.
