Capsule Corporation had been on Maiyah's radar for some time now. How she nearly hated the success of the company, but at the same time, she had to be thankful for its existence and the bounty it produced. There was money to be gained on both sides of the gold piece, and if Capsule Corp went down, a good percentage of her business went down with it.
Maiyah contemplated as she watched the television in front of her. How tragically funny and irritatingly ironic that a situation like this would come into fruition. Maiyah grimaced, bearing her pearly whites in disdain. How could the establishment allow this to happen? Certainly, Capsule Corp would suffer greatly at the hands of the media for this. She could just picture it... Capsule Corp Destroyed by Own Creations!
It was enough to make her laugh bitterly, but with the way everything looked, it seemed as if it were only a matter of time before that vision became a reality in the next day's Headline. Looking down at Gordy, the young Mau curled up in the deeper recesses of her leather couch, Maiyah reached over and pet his head, his elongated face giving her a lazy gaze. "Goin' out, Gordy... Don't let anyone in unless you know them, okay?" she said as she stood.
She looked back at the television as she went around behind her couch and leaned down, grabbing a large, flat suite case and setting it down on the coffee table. The massive dome building was surrounded by cops, most of which were hiding behind their squad cars. It was a barricade almost, which made things infinitely harder for the thief, considering her face in the city wasn't exactly under good word. She would have to find a quiet way in, preferably through the back door.
Maiyah stole her gaze away from the flickering television monitor, going back to her suitcase in front of her, clicking it open easily and lifting up the lid. Inside laid rest a shotgun, clean and crisp from the case as if it hadn't been touched in years. The silver case metal glinted against the dim light of the nearby lamp. She gingerly picked it up and looked it over before holding it out and aiming it.
"This should do nicely..." she said, voice barely above a whisper. With the shotgun, Maiyah put down an assault rifle and a pistol, her prized Jericho 941, onto the coffee table. Gordy from the couch looked up and watched her with a lowered gaze. She glanced at the cat and shrugged at him, "Hey, can't be too prepared, right? Besides... You heard what they said." She rose an arm towards the television before slipping to her bedroom and grabbing a holster harness, snapping it on quickly and turning the television off.
"Alright, I'm off," she said, grabbing the rifle and pistol, holstering them and covering herself with a jacket. She picked the shotgun up in her hand and concealed it in her jacket the best she could, zipping it up before leaving the apartment and stepping outside of the complex, looking down the street towards the district where the downed company resided, "Alright, if I take the alleyways through the blocks, I should get there within ten minutes."

Maiyah came upon the dome building, perched upon the ledge of another building across from the way. She held up a small pair of binoculars, taking in the situation as it stood now. It didn't change much from the news report she saw, and she sighed. The cops created a barrier around the front of the building, though the back was completely barren save for the amenities of the CEO's backyard. Backyards, pools, other buildings--possibly for storage--picnic tables, shrubbery, and the like. She didn't see anyone guarding the back, though. A perfect way in. Now, for a door.
Towards the north-northwest section of the dome rested a small alcove dipping into the building, caving in the grass, almost like a basement door. "Perfect," she said, tucking the binoculars back into her jacket and climbing down the side of the building through the fire escape. She landed on the ground with a heavy thud, keeping herself down in a crouch to remain out of the police line of sight as she made her way to the backyard sanctuaries of Capsule Corp.
"I'll be damned if that door is locked," she said as she scampered through the shrubberies and dashed for the door, skittering down the staircase and pressing her back against the wall. she looked at the door, and sighed. It was tall and greyish white, and above the door handle was a box with a thick row of five cords extending from it and running up the wall and continuing around the side of the building. "Fucking hell..." she growled as she reached into the pocket of her jeans.
"Of course they'd install their most brutal security system... if I even so much as jiggle that handle the entire company will be at my throat," she snarled as she pulled out a pocket knife. Going up to the box, Maiyah slipped the blade and dug it down between the edges of the box and the surface of the door. She shook it gently, wriggling it down the edges and cutting off the box. "Goddamn, finally," she growled softly as she eased off the cover, exposing the wires, cords and switches within.
"Now which is it... which is the off switch... This one, maybe," she whispered to herself as she pushed up a small red switch, resting over two LEDs, one red, the other green, green one lit up. As she pushed the switch, the green LED turned off while the red one turned on. "Perfect, perfect," she said as she put the knife back in her pocket before reaching for the handle and jiggling it. The door clicked and opened, easing in with a low creak.
"Alright," she whispered as she shoved herself in, shutting the door behind her, "Time to get down to business."
Stopping for a moment, Maiyah unzipped her jacket, dropping the leather garment down to the floor and holding out her shotgun. She cocked it and looked down the long hallway ahead of her. She headed forward, crouching down slightly and listening for activity. She heard loud bangs and gears turning, but it was above her. She was in what would be considered the basement of the building, and would need to find a quiet way up.

Making her way through the maze of a basement, Maiyah finally found herself a stairwell that wasn't barricaded or bolted down. If Maiyah didn't need her ammo for anything, then she would have no problem shooting the locks off the door, but seeing as she was facing an army of automatons, she decided it would be better for her if she just found a route that wasn't locked.
As she made her way up the stairs with shotgun in hand, Maiyah whispered to herself, trying to conjure up the recollection of Capsule Corp blueprints from the back of her memory. Maiyah had acquired plenty of graphs and prints explaining the inside and outside workings of the building, but has since never really had any use for them. Until now at least. She cursed to herself as she failed to recall, and pressed her hear up to the door she met at the top of the stair well.
There was no sound. The cries and terrified words of trapped coworkers had been clearly above her earlier when she first entered, but were muffled and to the east. But there could still be danger on the other side...
Maiyah grabbed the knob of the door and gave it a slow turn, easing the door open before it was thrust back at her, dented by a spray of heavy fire. She fell back and slid down on her back a few steps, "AH!" The door swung shut, fire bursting through a fresh hole in the door before stopping, followed by a laser scanning through the hole.
"T-H-R-E-A-T D-E-T-E-C-T-E-D."
Maiyah stared up at the spray of fire as it happened, on her back on the stairs, shotgun in hand still. "What the fuck are these people building...!?" She blinked as the fire stopped and she quietly eased herself up to her feet, in a deep crouch, almost crawling up the stairs back up to the door.
"ARe yOu sTiLL tHErE?" she heard a little voice come from beyond the door. She growled as she held herself up against the door, sitting back against it with her head just beneath and to the left of the hole, "Yeah, I'm still here you little fucker..." she growled, cocking her shotgun.
Though as if on cue to the loud cocking of her gun the spray of fire began again, firing over her head and forcing her to sink down against the steps. "God damnit!" she growled, "How the hell am I supposed to combat that!? That damn thing will blast through me before I even get a chance to aim!" She laid there and watch the fire as it died down. "... nO LIfeFOrmS dETeCTEd ..."
Maiyah sat there and waited, listening as small metal legs lifted and tapped against the floor. Blinking, she turned over as silently as she possibly could, each movement of every limb as still and silent as she could possibly manage, before looking in through the hole. In front of her stood the backside of a small cube with legs, and sticking up from the cube was a gatling gun. She blinked at the sight of it before getting up quickly and firing her shotgun at it.
"T-H-R-E-A-T D-E-T-E-C-T-E---" The blast from Maiyah's shotgun left nothing more of the bot than the barrels of the gun it carried and six tiny legs flailing, the rest of it shattered and ruined. "Nice," she said as she opened the door and went inside. "One down, forty-nine to go."

Maiyah had made it to the first floor from the basement, baring no injury and only having used one shell. She pressed herself up against a wall, a divider if anything, behind which were a small group of robots hold an even smaller group of workers hostages. Some of them were smaller, less dangerous versions of the one she just shot down. They were small turrets, scanning the prisoners over and over with thin blue rays rather than red ones.
She watched them from around the corner. They were standing too close to the hostages for Maiyah to effectively be able to use her shotgun or assault rifle.. The pistol would have to do for this. Setting down the shotgun, Maiyah pulled out her pistol and crouched down, holding the gun out around the corner and aiming at the heads of the robots. She fired, one, two, three.
Loud screams erupted from the hostages as the robots began to scatter, one falling right after the other as she fired off chains of rounds. She quickly returned back to her cover, to reload, clicking her gun and watching as return fire came, spraying past the wall and leaving a lovely mess on the other side of the room she was in. The return fire slowly ceased with the winding down whir of once-spinning gears and barrels.
With no time for the robots' guns to start back up again, Maiyah took this chance and reappeared from behind the wall, firing off at the last remaining bots. When it was clear, and the robots were down, Maiyah grabbed her shotgun and rounded the corner, firing off a bullet at a security camera huddled up in a distant corner of the room.
Ignoring the stares and whimpers of the now shaking but relatively unharmed hostage group, Maiyah headed on to the next wall, housing a door with a gold-plated knob. She pressed her ears against the door, listening for what was inside. She heard nothing and sighed, putting her pistol back in its holster and picking up her shotgun again. Grabbing the knob, Maiyah jiggled it. It was locked. "For fuck's sake. Who locked this door!?" she growled, slipping the shotgun under her arm as she pulled out her Pistol again and shot the knob off.
Almost immediately, the door flew off its hinges, nailing Maiyah's entire left side and tossing her back, a stream of gunfire exploding from within. "SHIT--" she hissed as she hit the ground. When the fire stopped momentarily, she kicked off the door and scooted back towards the wall. "God damn..." she breathed, "Again, what the fuck are you people making over here!" [[ENTRY INCOMPLETE]]
