Stats & Equipment Information
On Dragonball: Retribution your characters Stats can often be vital to their survival and progression through the game. This thread is a breakdown of the Stats the site uses, their functions, equations to work them out and general information on them and Equipment that may be helpful. If you do not understanding anything below or still have some unanswered questions, feel free to speak to a member of staff for further explanations.
Stats
How to gain Stats? You gain Stats by completing Quests, PRP’s and Battles, which you gain rewards for your characters. This can then go towards your stats in your updates, advancing your character further.
What are the Stats and what do they do? There are many different types of Stats, each with their own specific job:
Strength: Characters with a high Strength are usually physically intimidating, with large muscle mass, who also tend to be quite confident. This stat is used in the place of Energy when referring to physical attacks.
Ki: Characters with a lot of Ki energy are either focused and contained, or fiery and explosive. Both however, tend to give it their all in battle and have a high level of determination and willpower. This stat is used to calculate your Ki damage. This is also used in calculating how much Energy you have.
Endurance: Characters with high endurance are usually tough, and can withstand a magnitude of blows. Stereotypically they can be very cold and shielded characters, who don’t often engage in conversation. This stat is used to calculate your endurance factor, which is useful in calculating damage in your favour. Characters with a high endurance will also find their health bar doesn’t drop as sharply after taking a catastrophic attack.
Stamina: Characters with high stamina are usually bouncy and energetic, with a generally good natured temper. Stamina is a measure of how much energy you have, and how quickly you can bounce back after getting hit or hitting. Stamina is also used to calculate energy and fatigue.
Agility: Characters with high agility tend to be cunning and intelligence, and are usually good with their hands. Agility is a measure of how fast you are, which determines how many actions you get and how often and how successfully you can dodge.
Are these Stats used in battle? Yes, they are, though why some are directly used, others go towards forming new and specific “Battle Stats”. Below are a list of these specific stats:
HP: Health, a measure of how your vital signs are faring. Every character starts at 100% health, and some may have more, depending on their perks. At above 70%, you are healthy. Below 70%, you start to lose fatigue faster, and are considered injured. Under 50% is wounded, under 30% is seriously wounded, and 10% is barely conscious. Under 10%, the player loses fatigue very quickly, and will fall unconscious if his fatigue hits zero. At 0% HP, a player is pronounced dead or defeated. It can be recovered by eating sensu beans, and by taking actions to rest.
Energy: Energy is a measure of how much spirit energy you have; essentially your will to fight. It is measured by ((3xSTA)+KI)/2, and each time you use a Ki attack, you drain a bit from this whole. If you hit zero, you lose fatigue each action, and Ki attacks waste both HP and Fatigue. It can be recovered by eating sensu beans, and by taking actions to rest.
Fatigue: Fatigue is a measure of how tired your character is. Every character has a fatigue level, which is used up by doing everything from walking to punching to using ki. Each action, as long as you aren’t “barely conscious”, or attacking, you regain a little bit of fatigue. Fatigue can be restored by resting, or by taking adrenaline. If you lose all of your fatigue, you will fall unconscious until you regenerate enough fatigue to continue. Your fatigue can be calculated by FAT = 100+((6xSTA+3xSTR)/2).
Power Level: A persons Power Level is a measure of how powerful the character is. This number really isn’t important in the scheme of things, but is required for certain items and quests, and is a good way to size up opponents. Also, more PL = More bragging rights. Your Power Level can be calculated by PL = STR + KI + (END+STA)/2 + AGI/5.
